This Privacy Policy applies to information collected through the You iPhone application, support interactions, and public community features. It does not apply to third-party services that have their own privacy notices, including Apple or external links opened from the app or website.

2. Information We Collect

Account and identity information

When you create or access an account, including through Sign in with Apple, we may receive information such as your Apple-provided identifier, email relay address if applicable, and account metadata needed to authenticate you.

Profile and goal information

We collect the information you choose to provide in the app, such as your nutrition goal, level, preferences, and other profile details used to personalize the experience.

Meal photos and nutrition activity

We collect meal photos you upload, timestamps, nutrition analysis outputs, meal scores, related advice, and app activity needed to provide the service.

Community content

If you share recipes, comments, captions, or other community content, we collect that content and related moderation, reporting, and engagement data.

Subscription and transaction information

Subscription purchases are processed by Apple. We may receive limited transaction status information, such as subscription state, renewal status, and receipt-related data required to validate access. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.

Device and usage information

We may collect device type, app version, language, crash information, diagnostic information, IP-derived general location, and feature usage information to maintain and improve the service.

3. How We Use Information

• Provide account access and authenticate users.
• Deliver AI meal analysis, approximate nutrient estimates, and meal scoring.
• Personalize guidance according to the user’s selected goal and profile.
• Enable recipe sharing, public community participation, and user reporting tools.
• Process and verify subscription access.
• Send local notifications and service messages where permitted.
• Detect abuse, fraud, security incidents, and violations of our terms or guidelines.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the app and website.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our rights.

4. AI and Third-Party Processing

You uses third-party service providers to operate core product functions. For example, the app uses Supabase for infrastructure and account-related backend services, and it uses OpenAI for meal image analysis and related AI processing.

When required to provide the service, meal photos and relevant contextual information may be transmitted to these providers for processing on our behalf. We expect such providers to process data under contractual or technical controls appropriate to their role, but their systems are not operated by us directly.

Apple separately processes information when you use Sign in with Apple, in-app subscriptions, or platform-level notification services.

5. Community Features

If you post recipes or other content in public community areas, that information may be visible to other users. Please avoid sharing personal, sensitive, or confidential information in public areas.

We may review community content, reports, and related metadata to moderate the platform, investigate abuse, and enforce the Community Guidelines.

6. Notifications

The app may use local notifications on your device to remind you about meals, activity, or consistency. Local notifications are managed through iPhone settings. We may also send essential service communications related to your account, subscription, or support requests.

7. Legal Bases and Retention

Depending on where you live, our legal bases may include performance of a contract, legitimate interests, compliance with legal obligations, and consent where required.

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, or comply with legal obligations. Retention periods may vary by data type, the sensitivity of the information, and whether deletion has been requested.

8. Sharing of Information

We may share information in the following circumstances:

• With service providers that help operate the app and website.
• With Apple as part of authentication, subscription, and platform services.
• With other users when you choose to post public community content.
• With advisors, auditors, or acquirers in connection with corporate transactions.
• When required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, or security.

9. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, depending on where our providers operate. Where required, we take steps intended to support lawful cross-border transfers.

11. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, or objection related to your personal information. You may also have the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

12. Children

You is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date and may provide additional notice where required.
